Fast Data Breakpoints
نویسنده
چکیده
Debuggers allow a user to halt a program and examine its state. The debugger stops execution when some user-speci ed condition is satis ed: Code breakpoints halt program execution when a particular instruction is executed. Data breakpoints halt program execution when a variable is referenced. Code breakpoints are supported directly in hardware on most machines and are fast. Data breakpoints, however, are notoriously slow. This note describe how data breakpoints can be made fast.

Fast detection of deletion breakpoints using quantitative PCR
The routine detection of large and medium copy number variants (CNVs) is well established. Hemizygotic deletions or duplications in the large Duchenne muscular dystrophy DMD gene responsible for Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophies are routinely identified using multiple ligation probe amplification and array-based comparative genomic hybridization. These methods only map deleted or duplica...
متن کاملYAHA: fast and flexible long-read alignment with optimal breakpoint detection
MOTIVATION With improved short-read assembly algorithms and the recent development of long-read sequencers, split mapping will soon be the preferred method for structural variant (SV) detection. Yet, current alignment tools are not well suited for this. RESULTS We present YAHA, a fast and flexible hash-based aligner. YAHA is as fast and accurate as BWA-SW at finding the single best alignment ...
متن کاملAn integrated heuristic method based on piecewise regression and cluster analysis for fluctuation data (A case study on health-care: Psoriasis patients)
Trend forecasting and proper understanding of the future changes is necessary for planning in health-care area. One of the problems of analytic methods is determination of the number and location of the breakpoints, especially for fluctuation data. In this area, few researches are published when number and location of the nodes are not specified. In this paper, a clustering-based method is develo...
متن کاملJoint segmentation of many aCGH profiles using fast group LARS
Array-Based Comparative Genomic Hybridization (aCGH) is a method used to search for genomic regions with copy numbers variations. For a given aCGH profile, one challenge is to accurately segment it into regions of constant copy number. Subjects sharing the same disease status, for example a type of cancer, often have aCGH profiles with similar copy number variations, due to duplications and del...
متن کاملVirtual Breakpoints for x86/64
Efficient, reliable trapping of execution in a program at the desired location is a hot area of research for security professionals. The progression of debuggers and malware is akin to a game of cat and mouse each are constantly in a state of trying to thwart one another. At the core of most efficient debuggers today is a combination of virtual machines and traditional binary modification break...
